What is the sufficient work experience required to get an admission in a top B School?
Hi
I have heard from lot of people that work experience is must to get an admission in any top B School. Can anyone tell me the following things:
- What is generally the weightage of work experience in overall selection process?
- Which industry work experience is most helpful?
- How many years experience is counted as good experience?
- Does work for a startup give you an edge?
Thanks,

I can assure you start-ups on your resume do actually look good. But dont try and do a startup for the sake of your CV, or keeping MBA school in foresight. Don't even think about those options. if you don't succeed in start-up, there would be another tons of opportunties, coz by then you would have learnt a lot! And I think theres no such industry whose work experience is most beneficial, although some say its consulting/finance, but i dont really agree with that. Hope the answer helps :) 2 years 40 weeks ago |
