telecom careers - certifications to improve profile
I am Imran khan, B.E. final year student with Elex and Communication branch from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal (M.P.). I want to enter in telecom industry; tell me what should i do, like certification or some extra program except Engg. degree, to be the first choice of selectors ?

Hi Imran. Ideally and more practically you could do Masters in Telecom to gain domain specific knowledge , which would also prepare u to get a know-how of the Telecom Industry. But that depends on your interest. However if you would like to take up a job in a telecom company directly, first you should classify your interest of work and identify where and what you want to work on. For example, you could work as a network engineer managing routers/switches or as a developer in mobile phone platforms or communication design engineer - to mention a few. Since there are multiple gamuts of this industry where one could work, identify where u would fit in.
