Sports Management

I want to pursue my career in the field of sports management with personally my interest being in soccer and bringing up Indian football team on the world football map. which might include youth development and finding talent and organizing more and more sports event.I am a BTech engineer right now working in an IT field but want to totally transform my field and my domain. And i have been thinking about two options one being starting to work in an sports agency may be like IMG or get an MBA degree and then change my field.

So my question is how should i go about achieving my career goal? i am a big time sports enthusiast so having that feel about sports is already in my blood but which i know is not enough so how should i go about crafting my mission of passion to profession my P2P plan?? and if your suggestion is studying or doing an MBA degree which specialization would be best for me?
