Seeking advice for CAT preparation.

Hello. My name is Sarang Bargale.I have recently taken admission in B.E. I year in IET-DAVV,Indore in E&TC branch.
I want to prepare for CAT.But the coaching institutes in Indore for CAT such as T.I.M.E and PT education do not have any course for a I year B.E. student. They are telling that only early course available is for B.E. third year student.I don't want to lose time for CAT preparation and want to prepare as early as possible. What kind of inputs I can give from my side for two years so that I am not new for syllabus when I start coaching for it in my third year?

Hi Sarang,

Starting CAT preparation right from your first year is too early. Possibly you will get bored out of it if you start so early. What you can do right now is to gain some general knowledge which will help you a lot when you start preparing for CAT. This includes -

1. Reading English NewsPapers (specially the editorial section)
2. Reading Magazines like Business World & Forbes India
3. Making it a habit to read Novels
4. Solving some mind simulating puzzles (you can find some at www.techinterview.org) & Sudoku

All the best for your preparation
