How to start prepearing for ielts and other exams.

Siddharth, If by other exams you mean TOEFL and such tests for ability to speak English as a foreign language, I suggest the first thing you should do is take the sample test on their (TOEFL, IELTS) website. Once you get a fair idea about the different test sections and how you perform on them (try to compare them with the avg score of your target school), you can start working on the sections individually.
