How to get Internship with BCG,Deloitte, McKinsey, KPMG or Ernst & Young in the final year of engineering?
Its really hard to get internships or full time positions in these companies if you are not from IITs. So I would like to know what exactly they are looking for and why don't they hire other students from other institutes who have exceptional experience.

Akash, if you have exceptional experience, I think you should reach out to people in these companies through LinkedIn or other forums. I know a couple of people who worked in India offices of Mck and Deloitte and can put you to them. I'm a 3rd year a student of the University of BITS-Pilani(India). Am pursuing a dual degree of B.E.(Hons.) Electronics & Instrumentation and M.Sc.(Hons.) Economics. I am looking forward for an internship for the Summer of 2010;in finance/banking/consulting(financial related)/Management(not sales and marketing) sector.
