How to enhance my career skills in the field of finance?

I am an MBA(Finance) but from a not so prominent B-School in lucknow.
I have just been placed in a PSU Bank.

I'm interested in working for prominent research firms but since I've not been associated with any prominent institute, i'm doubtful about my chances.

I want to boost my resume and knowledge base and wish to take up CFA in June next year.
I would like help from my mentor with respect to pursuing the CFA course- the schedule that should be followed and the preparation.
