Electrical Engg (UG 2nd yr)
i m really passionate abt this subject n i wanna do higher studies in the same.. the problem s i dunno how to develop my skills in this line.. since i messed up with ma entrance(due to genuine reasons) i was forced to join a 'not so gr8 coll(unlike iit/nit-t/nit-w)' wherein i dont have seniors to guide me to do really cool projects.. pls give me info abt good reference books/links to improve my skills.
also i m pretty confused if i shud concentrate on theory exams or not.. after spendin time wid entrance stuff in de past, i dont find theory very interesting.. i manage to score 9 point something but i hate to see tat i haven't developed any appln oriented knowledge.. recently i found tat my frns at nit-t built their own roborts but i dunno anything abt 'em.. pls guide me coz i need to do higher studies in a reputed foriegn university at any cost.. also i suppose tat coll doesn't matter if u have a good profile while applying 4 foreign univ(since i have heard of a boy from ma coll who joined mit sometime back..).. also give me some insight into appln 4 internship etc..

Hi, The key to higher studies in EE is showing your potential to do research. This involves gaining deep knowledge of a particular subject, and performing some research in the same. Essentially, if you can show that you have the ability to perform good research, it's a huge plus. And the best way to do that is to actually have performed good research. After that, you need to show your interest and knowledge in a particular topic. This will come across in your statement of purpose, which should really just be an outline of what you would like to for your master's thesis. Again, the best way to develop this idea is to get involved with research and develop a close relationship with your research advisor. Best, 2 years 40 weeks ago |
