CAT 2009 and MBA entrances: Verbal Section tips and strategies

Dear Mentor,
I am pursuing my graduation in computer engineering. Being an MBA aspirant i w'ld like to know the strategies for holding good command on the Verbal Section for various MBA entrances. It's my third year of the bachelor's so i w'ld like to commence my preparation. Also please suggest me various books for different sections viz QA , VA , DI in order to get commendable score in exams like XAT , JMET etc...
