Can i get into ISB straight after I complete my engineering?

I am about to complete my engineering from a BITS, Mesra. I would like to ask that can I get into Indian school of business immediately after college?

If not what would be the best job I could get to make a good profile for easy addmission into MBA?

Yeah even i would like to know answer to that question. Also why is it people advice against not going for an MBA before work experience. I would like to know both pros and cons of such a decision.

Hi,
Let me reply to some of the aforementioned queries.

Please go through ISB website. As of now, I believe ISB has a requirement that the applicant should have had at least 2 years of work experience by the time he submits his MBA application.

What I gather from people is that work experience would make an MBA more enjoyable, practical and useful. An MBA is not just theory. It has a huge aspect of practical implementation and many of the MBA courses would be appreciated better if one has already worked in industry and seen himself as to what is it like.
Well the cons would be that you might lose out on precious time and money. One needs to carefully decide as to what his objectives in life are. Look at the opportunity cost. Would working for 2 years then doing an MBA help you reach a career profile for which you are willing to put in the requisite time and money. One thing to note is that as ISB's MBA has a much shorter duration of 1 year than the typical 2 year MBA, it might be attractive to those with significant work-experience.
