applying to ISB for YLP

I am a 3rd year engineering student and thinking of applying to ISB for the Young Leaders Programme. The first stage of application requires writing an essay and an evaluation and if selected for the 2nd round one has to write GMAT. So how should I go about starting my preparation especially for writing good essays. Also if you can give any suggestion regarding GMAT and CAT, it would be very helpful.
