I am also a part of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell here in IIT-D. I am going to pursue a research internship under Prof. Jared Saia (UNM) in the field of Algorithm Engineering and Development these summers.
I am a very hard-working working person with a passion to succeed. I have a great interest in mathematics and applied physics. When I was in my 10th grade, I took up a project on Food, Safety and Nutrition. This involved me conducting surveys in various slums and presenting my ideas in the form of presentations and speech. My research gave me an insight of the eating habits of the slum dwellers and various diseases prevalent amongst them. My efforts won me the an 1st position in the State and gave me an opportunity to present my ideas in front of the President of India Dr. A.P.J. Kalam.
Here in IIT too I have been introduced to various facets of Computer Science like Robotics, Algorithms, Networks, Graphics and Vision, Programming Languages etc.For a long time, robotics and electronics have been my forte. Insects have a meticulous walking gait, fascinated; I made a quadraped, based on the Miller walking cycle. I also made a Micro mouse robot and participated in National Robotics Competition. As a part of the IIT-D team for National Robotics Competition ROBOCON we designed and manufactured Robotic systems based on line following sensors, encoders and automated gripper Mechanisms.
Apart from academics I am actively involved in cultural activities in IIT and am presently the Secretary of the Photography and Hobbies Society at the Institute level.
