Being an international student in Singapore has helped me observe the business and work environment very keenly, hone my work culture, and adapt quickly whenever the situation demanded. My work experience is mainly in the field of Marketing Communications and Business Development for MNCs, SMEs and Start-Ups. However, I am more of an entrepreneurial soul and hence have been co-founders to an IT start-up and a NGO initiative - and am always on a look out for brilliant start-up ideas.
We often forget to give back to the society we take so much from. By being an active volunteer at the Society for Indian Children Welfare in Kolkata - I try doing my bit in giving back. I am also an active member of UNIFEM and Aware - which both work for women empowerment initiatives.
Besides, I also love painting, swimming, traveling and writing in my diary/blog.
Why am I on MentorPolis?
I don't come from one of the most affluent backgrounds and had many personal battles to fight and mistakes to make to get what I wanted. It humbles me to be a part of such a brilliant team or mentors here. And if I could help anyone make that one less mistake or help someone fight a battle more effectively - I would consider a good deed done.
I would love to help out anyone who is looking to study abroad (specially undergraduate studies) or wants to start-up a business (always on the look out for good ideas. However, I need the mentee to put in their 100% because I shall be putting in 200%.
