Mentor Remuneration - FAQ

Direct monetary compensation
Why can I opt only 40% of the consultation amount? What is the cost structure? MentorPolis charges Rs 500 per consultation. In order to preserve the mentor’s privacy, our call setup procedure dials both the mentor and the mentee and connects them together. This gives an average cost of Rs.4 per min (considering that we charge same for calls to US, UK and all other countries). Assuming an average of 50 minutes per consultation- the total connection cost amounts to Rs 200. Taking into account our operation and administrative cost, we can distribute about Rs. 200 for mentors, which is 40% of the consultation cost per call. Can't a mentor decide his consultation fees? Is 40% fixed? MentorPolis is in beta phase and thus a lot of evolution is still on the way. We will introduce differential pricing system in future which will enable mentor to decide his own consultation fees and take much higher fee margins. How can a mentor collect his money? As the mentor takes consultations he accumulates fee in his account which can be tracked on his Dashboard. A mentor can opt to cash out his fee at the 26th of every month starting from 26th October 2009. MentorPolis will need bank account details to be supplied by the mentor for a cash out. Can I switch remuneration options in future? If you for some reason feel the need to switch options - for eg:- donating your fee to MentorPolis growth for a while and then adopt a child- you can do so by visiting the Remuneration Details page from your dashboard.
