About NDA 2010

Conducted by UPSC, Govt. Of India for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of the NDA for the 125th Course and Naval Academy for the 45th 10+2 (Executive Branch) course commencing from 30th December 2010. The approximate number of vacancies to be filled on the results of this examination will be 335 (195 for the Army, 39 for Navy,  66 for the Air Force and 35 for the Executive Branch of Naval Academy)

Eligibility (Education and Other)

(i) For Army wing of National Defence Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

(ii) For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 (Executive Branch) Course at the Naval Academy :- 12th Class pass of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equilvalent with Physics and Mathematics conducted by a State Education Board or a University.

Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2  pattern of School Education or equivalent exmination can also apply for this examination.

Candidate must be an unmarried male candidate (i.e., Female candidates are not eligible for the National Defence Academy Examination.)

Examination consists of a two papers each lasting 2.5 hours.

Selection Procedure/Stages
Two stage selection procedure based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test has been introduced at Selection Centres/Air Force Selection Boards. All the candidates will be put to stage one test on first day of reporting at Selection Centres/Air Force Selection Boards. Only those candidates who qualify at stage one will be admitted to the second stage/remaining tests.  More Info here.
